Louise Collins is a sustainability-focused engineer and executive with over 23 years of experience driving innovation across the built environment in Europe and the Middle East. As a Partner at Focal Middle East, she leads multidisciplinary teams delivering integrated project and development services across commercial, residential, hospitality, and mission-critical sectors.
Louise is a certified LEED Accredited Professional and holds an Executive MBA. Her expertise spans engineering, development advisory, cost and project management, and the delivery of high-performance, low-carbon buildings. She is particularly recognised for her leadership in embedding sustainability into mainstream construction practices—translating environmental ambition into commercially viable outcomes for clients.
At Focal, she has pioneered lifecycle cost and carbon assessments as a standard approach to value engineering, enabling more transparent decision-making at every stage of a project. Her work has significantly shaped the strategic direction of some large porfolios in the Middles East where decarbonisation, retrofit viability, and operational optimisation were key drivers of success.
Louise is also an advocate for inclusive leadership and industry collaboration. She currently sits on the World Advisory Board Forum and plays an active role in regional knowledge sharing through CTBUH and other forums.
A strong believer in the intersection of cost, carbon, and compliance, Louise continues to challenge conventional models—ensuring that sustainability is not a separate agenda, but a core pillar of project performance.
